Sunny Garcia

August 26, 1981 — March 27, 2023

Pflugerville, Texas

Our beloved Sunny Garcia, was called to our Heavenly Father on Monday, March 27, 2023. He was preceded in death by his father Robert Bob Barron and mother Theresa Garcia, father-in-law David Joseph Stanczak, and nephew Quentin Xavier Marquise Hill.

Sunny was born on August 26, 1981; he was 41 when he left us. His bright light and big heart left us too soon, but we will always remember him. There are so many wonderful things to say about Sunny- growing up, his nickname was always "Sunshine", and that he was! He touched many people's hearts with his kind and friendly personality. He never met a stranger. Sunny was always so joyful, and it was guaranteed that he would make someone laugh because of something he said or did. His sense of humor was definitely contagious. We all know - if there was music playing, he was dancing and having a good time. He lived life on the edge. He frequently made sure to stay in contact with his brothers regardless of what was going on. Sunny often expressed his love for them and wasn't ashamed to shed a few tears.

One major attribute that we will continually remember about him is his generosity and willingness to help others. Sunny overcame lots of oppositions in life, but regardless, he worked hard to improve himself and never gave up. He was very proud of his job and the awards he received during his time there. He was an exceptional, hard worker - on and off the job. He had an eagerness to help, no matter what it was. He will be sadly missed, and will always hold a place in our hearts. We are so grateful for the time, laughter, and love we've shared with Sunny.

Sunny is survived by his wife of 11 years, Diane Garcia, as well as step son James Rivas and step daughter Alyssa Rivas. His siblings, Gina Barron Perez, Tina Barron Gonzales, Edward Garcia Sr. and his wife Delia Garcia, Ronnie Barron, Robert Garcia Sr. and his wife Jennifer Garcia, Amos Barron and Aimee Barron. Mother-in-law Marsha Johnson, sister-in-law Kimberly Stanczak Hill, Karen Vessels and her husband Stephen Vessels, Marsha O'Hara and her husband Jason O'Hara.
