Robert Joe (Bobby) Coatney

January 20, 1984 ~ August 31, 2022 (age 38)


It is with great sadness that the family must announce the passing of Robert Joe (Bobby) Coatney Jr. (38) Robert was born in Houston, Texas 01-20-1984. Robert left us 08-31-22 in Georgetown, Tx. to be with the angels. His passing was sudden and unexpected. Robert was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend to many. The sadness we all suffer is tremendous, but we know he is no longer in pain or misery from his demons he believed were present.

Robert is survived by his mother and stepfather Judi & Mark Allen of Cedar Park, Tx; his father Robert Coatney Sr of Houston, Tx.; brother Steven & wife Casey Carroll of Shepard, Tx.: sister Robynn Ayers of Cedar Park, Tx; brother Andrew Coatney of Round Rock, Tx: sister Ashley Allen of Cedar Park, Tx: and Nicholas (Nick) Allen of Cedar Park, Tx. Robert had no children of his own but loved being Uncle Bobby to his many nieces and nephews. He leaves behind many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends. Robert is preceded by his grandparents Marshall & Lavonne Carroll of Giddings, Tx and William and Edna Hughes of Houston, Tx.

Robert loved to travel and visited many different states in his younger days. He worked various jobs in his travels learning many different things just to get from one place to the next. Robert met many different people in his travels and to of been so lucky to meet him were always left with happiness. He touched so many lives knowing him was to love him.

Robert eventually settled down to live his life in the Cedar Park, Round Rock area. Robert worked in the community where he was able to meet many people. He had wonderful co-worker’s who became friends and roommates who became family. Robert touched many lives working in Round Rock. He loved the community and was loved by many. He will be greatly missed by all.

At this time the family has decided to have a private memorial. Any future services or memorial will be announced to the extended family, friends and community.
