Melvina Wright, 72, was born July 21st, 1948 in Jackson, Alabama.  She met her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on a glorious morning of February 13, 2021.  Melvina was one of nine children born to the late Melvin and Rachel Bonner.

Melvina at a young age married Winston Cox whom she had late son James Cox and two daughters Vallie Jones and Christine Maier.  Later she married Richard Wright whom she had two daughters Daniyell Thompson and Patrice Wright.

Melvina love doing hair, she set a goal to become a Cosmetologist which she did.   She enjoyed doing everyone’s hair and make them look beautiful like the person she was.  She even won first place in a hair stylist contest in Denver, CO.

Melvina loved to cook and have family get togethers.  Everyone loved her water corn bread, collard greens with turkey necks, and her famous strawberry cheesecake, etc.  She also enjoyed teaching her grandkids how to cook.  She also loved to give back to others in need, like feeding the homeless and donating clothing.  Melvina also loved to do arts and crafts, planting plants and gardening in her spare time.

Melvina was loved by many and many she loved.  Melvina was patient, kind and loving towards all she knew.  Melvina had an amazing smile that would light up a room and was contagious.
