Kerri Bishop

February 18, 1964 — April 18, 2021

Manchaca, Texas

On April 18, 2021, Kerri Alane Bishop, aged 57, passed away in Manchaca, TX.

Kerri was born in Houston, TX on February 18, 1964, the second of five daughters to Billy Ray and Norma Jean (Phillips) Bishop.  For the last 20 years, her primary residence was at the family home in Cedar Creek, TX, where she was cared for by her sister (Joy) and brother-in-law (Levi).

Kerri brought vibrant energy with bursts of love, kindness, and laughter wherever she went, instantly befriending everyone she met. Despite the multitude of health challenges Kerri faced, her strength inspired those around her as she spent her days enjoying all kinds of arts & crafts. Gifted with many artistic talents, never hesitating to attempt something new, Kerri’s generosity led her to make many handmade creations to give to all those she spent time with.  Often inspired by friends and loved ones, she’d aim to brighten their day with her work of art to show them they were loved and see them smile. It has been a blessing and comfort for her family and friends knowing the Lord took her home swiftly, yet her presence will forever be felt in those that loved her and will live on in the beat of their hearts.

Preceded in death by parents Billy Ray and Norma Jean. Kerri is survived by her four sisters Cheryl (James) Records of Kyle, TX, Janice (David) Sloan of Sherman Oaks, CA, Billie Jean Bishop of Austin, TX, and Joy (Levi) Brown of Cedar Creek, TX, nieces and nephews Cody (Michelle) Records of Kyle, TX, Sarah (Roman) Garcia of Kyle, TX, Madeline Sloan and Emma Sloan of Sherman Oaks, CA, Bradley Byrom of Austin TX, Ashley Byrom of Austin, TX, seven great-nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog Casper.

Details of Kerri’s memorial service will be shared at a later date when friends and family can safely gather to celebrate her life.  If you would like the family to notify you of her memorial service, you can let them know by emailing bishopgirls2020@gmail.com or mailing a card to 204 Green Mountain Drive, Cedar Creek, TX, 78612.

Due to the many complex health challenges she faced, Kerri spent the last year of her life at the Marbridge Villa in Manchaca, TX. This past year was difficult for many, nevertheless, she was doing well, having frequent video and phone calls with those she loved and enjoying her time with friends and staff at Marbridge, where they kept her safe from the pandemic. Her family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff and residents at Marbridge Villa for the loving care she received this past year.

In place of flowers, the family asks that any honorariums offered be donated to The Marbridge Foundation in Kerri’s name at Marbridge.org or mail to: Marbridge Foundation, P.O. Box 2250, Manchaca, TX, 78652 (please include "in Memory of Kerri Bishop" in the memo line).
