Frank Ivy

Frank Ivy was born in Charleston, Missouri, on October 13, 1945 to parents Selonia Ivy and Daisy Coopwood who proceeded him in death.  Frank is the second of 15 children later moving to Mount City, Illinois with his grandmother for several years before returning to Chicago, Ilinois.

In 1965, Frank would meet and marry Ada Marie Jones.   In this union, they had three children, Donna M. Hale (Anthony), Frank W.  Ivy Jr. (Nadene) and Anthony E. Ivy (Roshelle).  Many years later, they divorced.

Frank attended The University of Illinois at Chicago Circle at Chicago, Illinois.  He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting.  In 1983, he moved to Austin, Texas where he met Joyce Hill, his fiancee'.  For several years, Frank was employed with Austin City Cab Company.  He left there to work at MTM Capital Metro where he worked until present.

Frank was an ardent chess player, a profound reader, enthusiastic traveler, an educator and enjoyed watching investigative shows and news.

In addition to his parents, Frank is also preceded in death by four brothers, Arthur Ivy, Sylvester Ivy, Jerry Ivy and Samuel Brown; two sisters, Shirley Miller and Vera Gordon; one son Frank W. Ivy, Jr.; one grandson, Jordan P. Ivy and all of Chicago, Illinois.

Frank leaves to cherish his memories: his fiancee', Joyce J. Hill; daughter, Donna M. Hale (Anthony); son, Anthony E. Ivy (Roshelle); two bonus children Timothy Hill (Yolanda) and Tiffany Hill; five grandchildren, Tiffany M. Ivy, Anthony E. Ivy, Jr., Michael J. Wright, Michael Ivy and Tyler Ivy; three great grandchildren, Keirsten A. Ivy, Khaylee M. Wright, Amari K. Wright; two brothers, James Ivy and William Ivy (Rosa); four sisters, Sandra Nelson, Melissa Brown (Lester), Sonya Ivy and Regina Christopher (Richard) and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
