Frank (Francisco) Galvez born in Austin, Tx on July 3, 1946 passed away on December 11, 2020, at 7:15pm. He was preceded in death by his father, Francisco Galvez and his mother Lenora Galvez. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Janie Soza Galvez, Sons, Julian Galvez, Joseph Martinez and Daughter, Cynthia Duran. He had 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He is also survived by 3 sisters, Ophelia Galvez, Oralia Galvez and Olivia Rodriquez plus many nieces and nephews.
Frank worked as a custodian most of his life in Austin. He worked for the Texas School for the Deaf, manager for a Shamrock gas station and custodian at the famous Armadillo Headquarters. In 1988 he moved to Houston and worked various landscape and custodial jobs. His wife retired in 2009 and he retired around 2015.
After retirement he enjoyed visiting with neighbor friends, working on the yard and going to the casinos. He enjoyed his sports, Dallas Cowboy fan and Texas Longhorns, plus he loved his wrestling. He loved listening to his oldies music and could listen to his CDs for hours. We enjoyed going to concerts especially seeing Three Dog Night 3 times in the last 2 years. He was not much of a cook but he did make the best cheeseburgers and loved making them for family and friends. Yearly trips to Michigan to visit family and friends was a trip he always enjoyed making especially because he would go with friends to baseball games in Detroit. Recently, his health began to decline, and his heart and kidneys began to fail. He was a trooper to the end.
