Born to Christopher Paxton of Texarkana, Arkansas and Benita Porter September 16, 1994 in Austin, Texas. Dauris was the 3rd of 5 siblings.
Dauris professed a hope in Christ on September 9, 2001 at New Lincoln Missionary Baptist Church under the pastoral leadership of The Late Pastor A. R. Evans, Sr. Dauris was a member of the Youth ushers, and attended Sunday school.
Dauris attended Austin and Del Valle Public Schools graduating from Del Valle High School in 2013.
He loved his jobs in grocery working at H‑E‑B on Springdale in Austin and Safeway Seafood Market while living in Seattle, Washington.
Dauris enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes he found online.
He was an avid San Francisco 49ers fan.
Dauris departed this life on Thursday, March 23, 2023. He is preceded in death by his father Christopher; his maternal grandmother, Rosie Porter; aunts Sandra Porter and Linda D. Green.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Benita Porter; three sisters, Coretta King-Hoggard (Alex), Christa A. Paxton and Kayla L. Paxton and one brother, Christopher King. Two nephews, Alijah Dominic Hoggard and Kai Amir Webb; his paternal grandparents, Tommy Paxton and Mildred Dixon. Dauris’ memory will also be cherished by his “first cousins” and first friends, Nikisha, Caprisha and Demetra Porter, his best friend Robert Porter as well as a host of other family & friends.
The public visitation will be held at All Faiths Funeral Services - North Austin Chapel, 8507 N. IH-35, Austin, TX 78753 on Friday, March 31, 2023 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Dauris' Homegoing service will be held at his home church, New Lincoln Missionary Baptist Church, 2215 E 8th St, Austin, TX 78702 on Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 2:00 to 3:30 pm.
