Cruz Najera

Cruz Flores Najera, age 86, passed away peacefully Febuary 6, 2021 due to kidney failure. He was born March 12, 1934 in Guerrero , Mexico to Luis and Juvencia Najera. He is survived by his longtime friend and love, Alucemia Rivera Najera and five sons; Cornelio Flores Najera, Agustine Najera, Rosalino Najera, Fernando Najera and Felix and Martin Najera and 3 daughters Paula Silvia, Antonia Najera, Carmela Najera; grandchildren; Alyssa Najera, Mariana Najera, Esperanza Elena Najera, Laila Najera, Devon Najera, Isaiah Najera, Cassidy Najera, Leena Najera, Jessica Najera, and Miguel Najera, and David Najera and Cornelio Cruz Jr Najera and Angelica Najera & Anthony Medrano ; plus 36 great grandchildren and his many nephews and nieces Esperanza Najera, Luz & Lorenzo Najera/Jose Najera and Ana Maria & Laura Najera and Luisa Najera. All of these he loved and touched deeply.

He used to always say: “Do what’s right and do what’s good. Be kind and help others. The world can always use one more kind person. And if you can take it one step further, please do it for people my age.”

His life was a living example of his favorite Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 — “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”

Please join us celebrating his life Friday, February 12, 2021, at Address: 8507 N Interstate 35 Frontage Rd, Austin, TX 78753 between 12:00 p.m. — 4 p.m followed by interment at (11610 Chapel Ln, Austin, TX 78748) on Saturday, February 13, 2021, at 2 p.m.

Masks and social distancing will be required.
