Billie Stallsworth

October 28, 1939 — November 23, 2019

North Austin Location

Billie Nadyne Stallsworth, age 80, of Cedar Park, Texas, bravely, eyes open, chin up, with love in her heart and a clear powerful voice proclaiming her work here was done walked into the light to be with God November 23, 2019.  Billie was born October 28, 1939 to Glennie Carter and Henrietta Conyers in Lexington, Kentucky. She has been reunited with her mother, father and sister, Jean Church, along with a multitude of aunts and uncles who all welcomed her into her heavenly eternal home.  Billie graduated from Versailles High School in Versailles, Kentcky in 1957. While in high school, Billie was active in choir and a member of the journalism staff. She married Richard Allen Stallsworth January 20, 1967.  They provided an example of what a loving marriage looks like for those who were fortunate to be an observer of their 42 year union until Richard’s passing on February 13, 2009. Following their marriage Billie and Richard relocated to Austin, Texas in 1967 to start the Austin IBM location. They made the Austin area home for the past 52 years during which Billie has been an active member of the St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church family for 35 years. Billie was a powerful force working to keep not only her children but the children in her community safe, encouraged and loved. Billie was a founding member of Town and Country Optimist.  She sought employment in local school districts including Round Rock ISD, Leander ISD, Austin ISD and Austin Community College where she worked in a variety of administrative support roles. Billie had a heart to help youth see and grow their talents through directing talent shows, coaching sports and encouraging high school students to persevere to remain in school and complete their education. She touched the lives of the families she encountered. Billie passed along her love and care of others to her children and grandchildren who survive her. Billie can be seen and heard in daughter Glen’s (Quiana) voice, daughter Shannon’s (Randy) eyes, son Edward’s determination to do what is right, granddaughter Sarah’s laugh and grandson Eddie’s smile and wit. We love you mom and are proud of you! A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 11:00 AM at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 8134 Mesa Drive, Austin, Texas 78759.
