Willie Spence

Willie B. Spence was born on November 5, 1937 to Grover Roy and Clara Hardin Spence in Austin, Texas. He attended Rosewood Elementary and Kealing Jr. High School, as well as being baptized at a young age at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Austin, Texas by Rev. S.A. Davis.

Willie worked at the State Capitol and retired after 30 years of dedicated service. He loved fishing all night, barbecuing and playing dominoes.

Willie loved being around family and entertaining friends. He was the family mechanic who would show you only once how to do it.

Willie departed this life January 8, 2024, in Austin, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grover Roy and Clara, brother, Roy Jr. and daughter Martha Hunt.
