Willie C. Foster peacefully departed this life on July 28, 2025, in Austin, Texas, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born in Taylor, Texas, on January 20, 1935, to Lillie Mae Williams, Willie was a woman of deep faith and compassion.
At an early age, she professed her belief in God at St. Stephen’s Missionary Baptist Church under Rev. B.F. Palmer. Her faith was the foundation of her life, inspiring her dedicated mission work, which included feeding the homeless and visiting the sick and elderly. At the church, she was an active and devoted member of both Mission I and Mission II, as well as the Nursing Auxiliary.
For 25 years, she was a dedicated employee at the University of Texas before her retirement.
Willie was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Lillie Mae Williams; her brother, Robert L. Williams; and her son, Eddie B. Foster. She now joins them and many other loving family members and friends in her eternal resting place.Willie's memory will be cherished by her three sons, Kenneth Foster, Kalvin Foster, and Clarence (Emily) Black Jr.; and her two daughters, Curley Ann Wilson-Nobles and Cynthia Garrett. She also leaves behind a large and loving legacy of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom she treated as her own children. She was loved immensely and will be deeply missed.
