William Dietrich

Reverend William "Bill" Casperson Dietrich, 92, died September 15, 2012, surrounded by his family in Round Rock, TX.

Bill was born on June 2, 1920 to Carl and Ruth Dietrich of Pedricktown, NJ. He attended Moody Bible Institute from 1939-1941. After his schooling, he became a clergyman at the Pedricktown Methodist Church from 1941-42. In December of 1942, he was drafted in to the military where he served as a Grade Tech 3 Medic/Surgical Technician in China and India until January of 1946. Upon returning from WWII, he married his wife of 62 years, Roberta. Bill attended Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary from 1948-52. He became an ordained Southern Baptist minister in his grandfather's Baptist church. Bill and Roberta devoted their lives to being the ministry team at First Baptist Church of Newburgh, NY and the Peoples' Baptist Church of Maybrook, NY from 1952-85.

Bill and Roberta retired to Austin, TX after over three decades in the ministry to focus on being grandparents. Bill will be remembered as an honorable man that devoted his life to God, his family and his church. Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Roberta Dietrich and his sister Marian Dietrich. He is survived by his brother Frank, two children, Charles "Bill" Dietrich and Mary Takvam, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on All Faiths Funeral Services, north location, 8507 North IH-35, Austin, Texas, on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at 11 a.m.

Funeral services will follow the visitation on Thursday at 1 p.m. at All Faiths Funeral Services, north location. Interment will be at St. John Richland Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas.
