Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, and friend. Warren was married to the love of his life, Kathy (nee Olewin), for exactly 64 and ½ years.

Father of Patty (Dave) Smith, Les (Chrissy) Kincaid, Chris (Mary Beth) Kincaid, Cheryl (Bill) Stephenson, Victoria (Joe) McCall, and Pam (Jared) Jolly. Grandfather of Jennifer, Lisa and Nate Smith, Katie Finkes, Melissa McCarville-Schueths, Andrew and Sarah Kincaid, Ellie D’Onofrio, Caroline Kincaid, Megan, Stratton, Sarah and Matthew Stephenson, Luke, Judah, Lydia and Jewel McCall, and Danielle, James and Jordan Jolly. Great-grandfather of Owen, Rylan, Levi, Jaxx Joseph, Clara, Oakes, Grayson, Mariana, and three additional babies expected in 2026.

Warren served in Missouri Air National Guard, Air Police from 1954-1957 and the US Air Force from 1957-1962, discharging as an E4 Airman First Class. He received a Good Conduct Medal and served on Guam for 18 months.

Warren was a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, where he served many years as financial secretary. He was an active member of his local Catholic parish wherever he lived, and he frequently served as an usher. Warren and Kathy were election judges in St. Louis County and delivered Meals on Wheels for many years.

In 1974, Warren was named Manager of the Year by the Mehlville Khoury League, where he managed his daughter’s softball team. He also served as an umpire, and was named chief umpire in 1976.

Warren was a 2005 Silver Beaver Award Recipient by Boy Scouts of America, Greater St. Louis Area Council for “quality service to others.” He assisted various Scouting programs for over 33 years, serving as Cubmaster, Webelos den leader, Committee member, Scoutmaster, Assistant Scoutmaster, attending nine weeks of summer camp and the Philmont Scout Ranch twice. At the district level, Warren served as Roundtable chairman, training staff member, Eagle Project Review Team chairman, seven Wood Badge staffs, and several Junior Leader Training Camp and National Jamboree staffs. Warren received his district’s Award of Merit and is a Vigil Honor member of the Order of the Arrow.

Warren enjoyed golf and bowling throughout his life, participating in many organizations and leagues over the years, including a church bowling league with Kathy. Warren and Kathy were also active square dancers for many years in St. Louis and Des Moines.

In 2009, Warren and Kathy moved to Sun City, Texas, where Warren enjoyed golf, wood and leather work, and the Kiwanis Club. Warren always went to Kiwanis meetings early to make coffee. Warren and Kathy were featured in Georgetown’s local newspaper twice: in 2013 they were pictured selling tickets for the Kiwanis Holiday Home Tour in an article promoting the event, and in 2018 they were interviewed in an article about the BSW Sun City stroke recovery support group, talking about Warren’s success in stroke recovery and Kathy’s perspective as a caregiver.

Funeral Mass at 10 am on Friday, January 9, 2026 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Pflugerville, TX. Interment at Killeen Veterans Cemetery on Friday, January 30, 2026 at 11 am.
