Saroya Juella Carter

Saroya Juella Carter was born on July 15, 2025, to parents Tabathia Cooks and Ezereck Carter.

Baby Saroya was born asleep and, although her time here was brief, she was loved profoundly.

Saroya leaves behind her mother, Tabathia Cooks; her father, Ezereck Carter; her big brother Omari Cooks; her maternal grandparents, Melinda and Wilbert Anderson, and Cornelius and Sherri Cooks; maternal great-great grandmother Lillian Fowler her paternal grandparents, Ann Blaylock and Don Blaylock Jr; and paternal great-great-grandmother, Annette Hyder; her aunts, Leighann and Alice Blaylock; her uncle, Nhakel; and her Godmother, Berania Torres Garcia. And a host of others that loved her.

Baby Saroya is deeply loved and will be missed forever.

I never saw your smile or the color of your eyes. I never heard your laughter and I never heard your cries.

You never felt my kisses upon your cheek and nose. Or tickles underneath your chin and on your little toes.

You didn’t hear, "I Love You" and you didn't see me weep, for your spirit left your body and you were born asleep.

But there will come a time when in death, my eyes close too. And I know that when they open I'll awaken there with you.
