In Loving Memory of Rowena Barnes

Rowena Barnes, a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, peacefully earned her wings on April 30, 2026. Born on April 22, 1969, in Austin, Texas, to the late Rosetta and Elijah Barnes, Rowena lived a life filled with love, compassion, and service to others.

Rowena was a shining light in the lives of all who knew her. Known for her kind heart and generous spirit, she never hesitated to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her warmth, wisdom, and unwavering love left a lasting impact on her family, friends, and community.

She leaves behind cherished memories with her daughter, Kiara Hopkins; her niece, Kennetta Robinson-Scott; her beloved granddaughters, Kiani and Jzari Webb; and her great-nieces, Kayla and Khloe Scott. Rowena’s legacy of love, strength, and selflessness will continue to live on through those who were blessed to know and love her.

Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
