Obituary

It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the peaceful passing of our father Rojelio Martinez Mendoza on August 24, 2026, at the age of 81. Rojelio left this world surrounded by his beloved family and friends, in the comfort of his home -- a fitting testament to a life filled with love and warmth.

Born on October 3, 1944, in La Sauceda de Nava, Coahuila, Mexico, Rojelio was the cherished son of Bonifacio and Robles Mendoza. He was preceded by his loving parents, his son Dagoberto Mendoza, and four siblings, whose memories he treasured and held close throughout his life.

Rojelio shared a blissful marriage of 32 years with his devoted wife, Rosa Maria Mendoza. Together, they built a family grounded in love, laughter, and music. He is survived by his children Elizabeth Mendoza, Leticia Valladares, Edward Alexander Mendoza, and Jose Luis Mendoza, who will forever carry forward his legacy of kindness and generosity. As a proud grandfather, he adored his grandchildren: Thomas, Matthew, Natalia, Nathaniel, Andrew, David, Elijah, Brianna, DJ, Veronica, and Randy, as well as all his great-grandchildren of whom brought immense joy to his life.

A man with a song in his heart, Rojelio was ready to fill any room with music and joy. His love for singing and playing was particularly cherished during holidays and birthdays, as he created a soundtrack of cherished memories for all who knew him. With an infectious smile and a quick joke, Rojelio had an unparalleled ability to make everyone feel welcomed and valued, touching countless lives with his kindness and generosity.

As we celebrate our father's remarkable life, we know that he is no longer with us, but we know in our hearts that he will continue to sing and play his accordion in heaven, making beautiful music for all to hear.

Rojelio Martinez Mendoza's memory will forever be cherished and will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him.
