Rickey Neal Trejo passed away peacefully at home on June 2, 2026, surrounded by family and loved ones. Rickey was born on March 19, 1959, in Taylor, Texas, to Mr. Gregorio Trejo, Sr., and Mrs. Lue E. Trejo Pearson, both of whom preceded him in death. From this union, eight children were born. On February 19, 1980, Rickey gave his life to Christ and later was united in marriage to Yolanda Campos on July 31, 1981, who had also given her life to Christ. They were married for 45 years. Rickey Neal Trejo passed peacefully into the presence of the Lord on June 2, 2026, at the age of 67, at his home surrounded by loved ones and friends.

Rickey was born on March 19, 1959, in Taylor, Texas, to Mr. Gregorio Trejo, Sr., and Mrs. Lue Eddie Trejo Pearson, both of whom preceded him in death. To this union were born eight children. He grew up in Austin, Texas, with seven siblings: three brothers, Gregorio Jr., Erwin, and Donald; and four sisters, Lesa, Shelia, Julia, and Rita. And special appreciation to Mr. Donald Pearson for being a wonderful stepfather. Rickey received his formal education from the Austin Independent School District. He joined the Texas Army National Guard on August 2, 1977, and received an honorable discharge.

On February 19, 1980, Brother Rickey accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior after hearing the Gospel preached by the late Bishop Roland James Allen. He continued to serve the Lord faithfully under the leadership and guidance of Bishop Eddie E. Willis, Sr., until his passing. Brother Rickey was an active member of the New Covenant Church, willing to support many committees, such as the Banquet Committee, Baptism Committee, Follow-up Ministry, Food Drive and the Comfort and Care Committee.

After living a single life, he was united in holy matrimony to Sister Yolanda Campos, who had also accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. They were married for 45 years. He loved his wife and was a “Dad” to their four children, Quincey, Kelvin, Terrence, and Melissa.

Brother Rickey had a great love for fishing and enjoyed building things. He treasured smoking meat on the grill for special church events. One of Brother Rickey’s favorite things to do was to give his testimony of how the Lord saved him.

Brother Rickey Neal Trejo entered into eternal rest on June 2, 2026, at the age of 67. He will best be remembered for giving his testimony to anyone who wanted to hear how God saved him and changed his life.

He is survived by and leaves to cherish fond memories of his life to: His faithful wife, Sister Yolanda Trejo. His Children: Melissa, Kelvin, Terrence, and Quincey (wife, Kendra); His Grandchildren: Mary Sue, Kerissa, Anastashia, Kelvin Jr., Cassandra, Joseph, and Lilly; His Siblings: Lesa, Gregorio Jr., Sheila, Erwin, Sr. (wife, Yvonca), Donald (wife, Patrice), Julia (deceased), and Rita (deceased); His Nieces and Nephews: Tamp, Dantywine, Sr., Pauline, EdDiquan, Andrew, Erwin Jr., Broderick, Ederick, Elysha, Desiree, Kaylin, Shanaesia, Mariesha, Kendra, and Toccara (deceased), and a host of relatives, friends, and co-workers, as well as Pastor Eddie E. Willis, Sr., and his New Covenant Church family.
