Lorensa Ramos

Lorensa “Laura” Ramos was born in Houston, Texas on August 10, 1948. She entered Heaven’s gates on November 07, 2018.

A loving mother, grandmother, sister, & friend. Laura loved to make jokes & would catch you by surprise with how funny and outspoken she was. At times, she would make the most jaw dropping remarks. She could make you laugh & have fun all the while with an enormous heart. She could be your counselor & friend. Laura touched the lives of so many and will dearly be missed. She will be forever loved & will always remain in our hearts.

Laura is survived by her son Johnny A. Hernandez, son Adrian C. Hernandez, daughter Lori A. Hernandez (Henry Rodriguez), & daughter Rosie Benford (Michael C. Benford). She is survived by 7 grandchildren & 1 on the way; Adrian R. Hernandez, Shayna S. Hernandez, Alyssa C. Hernandez, Adam C. Hernandez, Brandon A. Rivera, Jacob E. Rodriguez, Zaydyn M. Benford, & Zakaryah E. Benford, (due December 2018). Laura is also survived by her brother Jesus “Jesse” Ramos (Barbara Marino), her cat Peaches, & many other extended relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anastacio Z. Ramos, Jesusa T. Chavez, & birth mother Mary C. Calzada.

A funeral service celebrating her life will be held Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at All Faith’s Funeral Services, 8507 N. I-H 35, Austin, TX 78753.
