A proud graduate of the Buffalo General Hospital Nursing School, Lois worked as a Registered Nurse at White Plains Hospital, where she specialized in Critical Care, cardiac care, and intensive care. Later, she continued her nursing journey at Seton Hospital in Austin, Texas, where she focused on OB/GYN nursing. Her dedication to her patients showcased her kind and caring nature, qualities she embodied throughout her life.

Outside her professional accomplishments, Lois had a profound love for the natural world. At the age of 89, she embarked on a remarkable journey to Fairbanks, Alaska, where she experienced and captured the enchanting beauty of the aurora borealis. Her adventurous spirit led her on many travels, including trips to Glacier National Park and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, where she shared her enthusiasm for photography. In her retirement, she immersed herself in the art of photography, spending countless hours learning and honing her skills. Her creativity flourished as she ventured into cyanotypes and encaustics, earning recognition for her stunning works at juried shows.

Lois is survived by her loving daughter, Lisa P. Grantham, and her cherished grandsons, Daniel and Joseph Grantham. She is also remembered by her late son, Eric Power Schubert, and her dear friend and companion, Bassett Maguire, who enriched her journey through life.

Lois Frances Schubert will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, adventurous spirit, and artistic talent. Her legacy of care and compassion will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
