Linda (Lynn) Grimaldo Sumbera 1952-2017

Lynn was called to Heaven on August 15th, 2017. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.

Lynn was born on February 17, 1952 in Dallas, Texas and was a long-time resident of Austin. Her family was the most important thing in her life and she loved her grandchildren dearly. She was a very compassionate and giving person who always thought of others first and spent most of her adult life caring for others, especially her mother in her late years. She loved gardening, listening to audiobooks and caring for her cats. She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Lynn is preceded in death by her mother, Linda De La Fonte, and father, Emilio Grimaldo. She is survived by her daughter, Alycia Sumbera; son-in-law Daniel Aguilar; grandchildren, Sean, Lexi and Danica; and brother, Manuel Grimaldo.

A memorial gathering will begin at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, August, 27th for Lynn’s friends and family. If you would like to attend, please contact the family at lesse1214@gmail.com for more information.
