"For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens". 2: Corinthians 5:1

Kimberly Denise Busby, was born March 2, 1971, in Mexia, Texas to her loving parents Melvin Busby, Jr. and Jessie McNeil. Kim spent her early childhood in Mexia. At an early age, she expressed her faith in the Lord, thereby uniting with the Union Baptist Church, Mexia, Texas.
Later, upon moving to Austin with her mother and older brother, Victor and Kimberly attended Pleasant Hill Elementary, Bedichek Middle School and during her middle school years, she developed a passion for learning and sports. Joining the girls' athletic teams, Kim was involved in volleyball, basketball and was a phenomenal track runner. To her efforts in these sports, she was awarded numerous ribbons and trophies. In middle school, another passion was discovered: Rapping. Desiring equal status among her male-counterparts, against all odds she formed a close-knit group of inspirational rap-artists, known as called "Master Rappers".
She entered high school and continued athletics. Additionally, Kim was affiliated with the Black Cultural Awareness Counsel, the girl fan-club "Coog Alpha Phi" and formed another musical group: "The Overweight Lovers." After the debut of her new group in a high school talent show, Kim became affectionately known as "K-Lover." In 1989, Kimberly graduated from Crockett High School.
Kimberly was an academic enthusiast. She attended Hill College and later, Kimberly moved to Dallas, Texas, where she attended Dallas Baptist University and earned a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. While attending Hill College, however, Kim met and married her husband, Brian White. To this union, three children were born, Brittany, Breeon and Kamille.
Kim and her family moved back to Austin, where she matriculated to Texas State University earning two Masters Degrees, was a Dean's List Honor student and graduated Magna cum Laude. Kimberly previously worked in the AISD school district for several years. She was currently pursuing her PhD and completed her Thesis.
In 2006, Kim united with the Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist under the leadership of Pastor A.W. Anthony Mays.
God sent his angels to summon his child home on April 30, 2012. She is preceded in death by her husband, Brian and her father, Melvin Busby Jr. She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Brittany and Kamille and son, Breeon, her mother, Jessie McNeil, brother, Victor (Misty of Austin, TX), Melvin III (Hope, of S.
