Kevin O’Neal Malone, 55, of Austin, Texas, passed away on December 23, 2025. Kevin was born on February 3, 1970, in Austin, Texas, to Claude and Billie Jo Malone.
A true native Austinite, Kevin graduated from Del Valle High School, Class of 1989, and went on to work in the automotive trade as a car mechanic, proudly serving the Austin community for decades.
Kevin was a devoted father and grandfather who loved cars, the beach, fishing, great music, and the Texas Longhorns. He was a fun-loving man who adored his family, considering each and every one of them the greatest part of his heart. His children and grandchildren were his proudest accomplishments in life, evident in the way he lit up whenever he spoke about them or held them close.
He is remembered by friends and family as someone who could light up a room, and his genuine personality, kindness, laughter, and loving heart will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his three children, Kiera Lynn, Charlotte, and Trevor; grandchildren; and by his siblings, Patsy Bourland (Arnold), Steve Malone (Jeanette), and Mike Malone; as well as nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins, and many, many friends. Kevin is especially remembered for the deep bond he shared with his daughter Kiera Lynn, whose devoted care and presence brought him comfort during his final days.
The family will host an intimate gathering to remember his life and privately spread his ashes in his favorite place to be — down at the Texas Gulf Coast
