Judith Ellen Bergum was born to Gershom Hurwitz and Ethel Shamberg Hurwitz in Chicago Illinois on October20, 1935. She died on April 14, 2026 at the age of 90. She is survived by her sister Carole Rochlin, two daughters Sharon (Bill) James and Patty (Tim) Wagner, and two grandchildren Sarah and Jake Wagner. She grew up in Chicago and met her future husband Bruce while attending Northwestern University. She earned her PhD in Psychology at Texas A&M University in 1979. As well as being a psychologist, she volunteered at Mike’s Place,traveled the world, and was an avid reader. She loved Mexican culture, floating in the pool, politics and cuddling with her cat, but mostly loved a party with good friends.
