Joyce Marie Fletcher-McClain

Joyce Marie Fletcher-McClain, a beloved member of the Austin community, was born on August 30, 1956, and passed away peacefully on July 25, 2025, in her cherished hometown of Austin, Texas. Joyce was a beacon of kindness and strength, radiating warmth and compassion to everyone fortunate enough to cross her path.

Joyce was the devoted mother of three wonderful children, Dalecia (Lesa) Fletcher Saldivar, O’Teka Fletcher Doyle, and Shaunte Snow, each an embodiment of her love and values. She also found joy in her grandchildren, Anthony Jones and wife Amika, Alena Saldivar, Jamion Fletcher, Willie B. Thomas, King Knoah Snow and Amir Prince Snow. Plus great-grandchildren, Andre and Armani. Joyce's unwavering support and guidance shaped their lives and continues to resonate within their hearts. Additionally, she had a special friendship with Carlton Bowers, who brought joy and companionship into her life during her journey.

Throughout her life, Joyce faced challenges with grace and diligence, always prioritizing the well-being of her family and friends. Her nurturing spirit and generous heart made a significant impact on those around her, and her legacy will live on through the lives she touched.

Joyce was preceded in death by her father, James Fletcher Sr., her sister, Barbara Fletcher, and her loving husband, Stanley McClain, all of whom she held dear. Their memories remain alive in the stories and love that continue to be shared by her family.

As we remember Joyce Marie Fletcher-McClain, we honor a woman whose spirit was defined by love, resilience, and an unending commitment to her family and friends. She will be missed profoundly, yet her legacy will endure in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Austin Restoration Ministries, 10206 N Interstate Hwy 35 A, Austin, TX 78753.
