Jose Francisco Molina Morales

June 8, 1952 — August 7, 2023

José Francisco Molina Morales, 71, of Managua, Nicaragua passed away to be with the Lord on August 7, 2023.

José was born June 8, 1952 to José Francisco Molina Suarez and Nydia Morales Etienne in Managua, Nicaragua. Upon his parents separation, José spent his childhood living in Nicaragua, Mexico City, and San Francisco, but always considered Nicaragua his true home. Upon graduating from Abraham Lincoln High School in San Francisco, where he excelled in academics and soccer, José would attend university in California and Cholula, Mexico, before completing his studies and graduating from the University of Miami, Coral Gables, with a BA in Architecture in 1976.

In 1977, after returning to Managua, José would be introduced to Violeta Cruz by a family relative. Just a short three months later, the two would be married on July 16, 1977. A month after their wedding, with nothing more than a credit card and a thousand dollars cash, José and Violeta would make the decision to leave their beloved Nicaragua, and move to Houston, Texas, in search of opportunity and fleeing the growing revolution in their homeland. José and Violeta would go on to have three children, Carla Sofia, José Alejandro, and Nydia Veronica.

José fully embraced his adopted hometown and country, and became an ardent Texan and American, though he never lost his love for Nicaragua. Moving from architecture to business development, José would have a successful career in the oil and gas industry, focusing most of his work in Europe and Mexico.

José was a man of deep faith. He was kind, generous, and never hesitated to help someone in need. He enjoyed music, loved playing the guitar, fútbol, jokes, parties, and above all else, his family. José was preceded in death by his mother and father. He is survived by his wife, Violeta Cruz de Molina; his Children, Carla Sofia Molina and her husband Alberto Garcia, José Alejandro Molina, and Nydia Veronica Molina; his sisters Ana Cecelia Navas and Maria José Molina; and many nieces and nephews.
