With great sadness, we are writing you today to let you know that our beloved son, John F. Zappa, passed away on September 24, 2017.

A memorial service will be held at All Faiths Funeral Home 8507 N Interstate 35 Frontage Rd, Austin, TX on Saturday, October 7 at 10:00AM.

Fond memories and condolences for the family may be left at AllFaithsOnline.com.

The family suggests that, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to one of the organizations John felt most passionately about: http://chemoangels.wixsite.com/chemo-angels-1 or www.redcross.org.

John was born May 16, 1965 in Baltimore, Maryland. John was educated in various schools in New Jersey, London and Texas. He graduated from The University of Texas with a B.S. in Engineering and an MBA. He worked in various capacities for Exxon Mobil, Dell and finally the State of Texas where he was an IT Audit Project Manager.

He also was a Certified Fraud Examiner and a Certified Information Systems Auditor. His coworkers valued not only John’s lively stories told with a sharp sense of humor but also the genuine interest he took in helping others succeed in their careers. John struggled with cancer during his professional career but succeeded in beating this dreadful disease on 2 separate occasions. Survivors include his father and mother, Joseph and Bernice Zappa, and his brother, David Zappa.

The support, kindness and condolences of many have touched us deeply. Please access the following link for services and details and any memories you may want to share about John.
