John Krause

John Delmar "J.D." Krause, resident of Bastrop, TX, died on Saturday,
September 29, 2012, at the age of 81. J.D. was born on June 7, 1931, to John and Louise Krause and was one of 8 children.

He was drafted into the Army in 1951 where he served in Korea and was discharged in 1955 as a Corporal. He married Irene Moeckel in January 1955 and they had three children. He was a fabricator/welder for the majority of his adult life but resigned from it after a disabling injury. He raised his family and lived at his primary residence in Sugar Land, TX, until he and Irene moved to Bastrop in 2006.

J.D. is survived by his wife, Irene Krause of Bastrop, TX; daughter and
son-in-law, Cindy and Carl Scrogum of Bastrop, TX and grandsons, Cody
Scrogum of Richmond, TX and Casey Scrogum of Bastrop, TX; son and
daughter-in-law, Christopher & Karen Krause of Damon, TX; son, Cary Krause of Richmond, TX and twin grandchildren Connor & Skylar Krause of Odessa, TX; siblings, Alice; Roy Krause; George Krause.

J.D. was preceded in death by his parents, John and Louise Krause of
Columbus, TX; siblings Lucille McLemore, Alfred Krause, August Krause, and a baby sister; and grandson, Christian Michael Scrogum of Bastrop, TX.

Viewing and visitation with the family will be held at the All Faiths in the Pines Funeral Home in Smithville, TX on Wednesday,October 3, from 4:00pm-8:00pm. Funeral services will be held at All Faiths of the Pines, Smithville, on Thursday, October 4, at 1:00pm with burial services to
follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Bastrop.
