Joe Walter Reed
Joe passed away at home on May 7, 2012 at age 74, after years of health of problems.
Joe was born in Coffee County, TN and lived most of his adult life around Austin, Texas. He worked for Balcones Research Center (now J. J. Jake Pickle) as a heavy equipment operator. He served our country in the United States Air Force.
Joe loved fishing, hunting and golf. He is preceded in death by parents Samuel Jay and Haley (Harris) Reed, brothers George, Marshall and Leslie of Morisson, TN, sister Ruby Mae (Reed) Evans of McMinnville, TN, nephew Jimmy Evans, sister-in-law Mildred (Kirby) Reed of Morrison, TN, and in-laws Tony and Nettie Beran of Cedar Creek, TX.
He is survived by Tracy, his wife of over 56 years, son Danny (Joyce) of Cedar Creek, TX, daughter Lynda Moore (Jake) of Bellevue, NE, six grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, sister-in-law Dorothy Reed of Morrison, TN, nieces, nephews and friends. Thanks to everyone that helped me care for him, especially Debra Keys, Ella Flowers and Janice Simkins. Arrangements are under the care and guidance of All Faiths Fuenral Services, north location.
