James Louis Richardson was born on December 16, 1940, in Austin Texas, to the late James Huge Richardson and Annie Pearl Brown Johnson. James accepted Christ at an early age and attended DeValle Baptist Church.
James graduated from Kealing High School in 1958. On October 4, 1964, he united in marriage with the love of his life, Amy Mae Dixon. Their union was blessed with a deep and lasting love. James was a devoted husband, a hardworking man, and a dedicated provider for his family.
Throughout his working years, James was employed by several companies. He worked for Butter Crust Bakery for 16 years, Texas Furniture for 2 years, Houston Tillotson College for 3 years, and Katy Railroads for 2 years. He later worked for Frostex Frozen Foods, Alliance Foods, and Kraft Foods, which eventually became US Foods, where he dedicated more than 20 years of service.
James and Amy shared a deep love for children and opened their hearts and home to others. In 1975, they became certified foster parents, providing love, care, and support to children in need. Not long afterward, they began their own family and were blessed with five children: Shlinda, James Jr., Pamela, Michael, and Antanika.
Later in life, James became a member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. A. L. Sneed. He remained a faithful and devoted member, continuing to grow in his faith and serve the Lord.

Though he is no longer with us in body, the memories he created, the lives he touched, and the love he shared will remain in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
