Guadalupe Cynthia Labuda

Guadalupe Cynthia Labuda (Salazar), lovingly known as Cynthia, passed away on November 13, 2023, at her home in Austin, Texas. She was born on January 22, 1947, in Copperas Cove, Texas.

Cynthia possessed a remarkable talent for sewing and embroidery. She poured her heart and soul into creating her own clothing, infusing each piece with her unique style and creativity. Her original designs were a reflection of her vibrant personality and impeccable taste; her keen eye for fashion inspired many, and she was admired by those who had the pleasure of witnessing her artistry firsthand.

In addition to her sewing endeavors, Cynthia had an affinity for indulging in her favorite TV shows. Whether it was a captivating drama or a lighthearted sitcom, she found solace and joy in the stories unfolding on the screen. Her passion for these shows brought comfort to her and served as a means of connection with others who shared the same enthusiasm.

Cynthia's warm and kind-hearted nature extended to all aspects of her life. She cherished the time spent with her son Joseph Labuda and doted on her beloved poodle King Kong, both preceding her in death. Their presence brought immense joy to her days, filling them with laughter and love while they remained.

She will forever be remembered as a devoted wife to Robert Labuda. Their bond was an embodiment of unwavering commitment and unconditional love that transcended time. They created beautiful memories together and supported one another through life's ups and downs, having married in 1969. Robert tells the story: "I met her for the first time while serving in the Army out of Killeen, Texas. Her neighbor let me know that a young girl had just lost her date to the Senior Prom...I was reluctant to go, having no suit for a prom. Cynthia's neighbor and family got me a suit, cleaned up their family car, and sent me on my way to my first memory made with Cynthia. The rest is history."

A Visitation and Prayer Service to honor Cynthia's life will be held on November 22, 2023, at All Faiths Funeral & Cremation Services - North Austin in Austin, Texas. The visitation will commence at 4:00 PM and conclude at 6:00 PM.

Guadalupe Cynthia Labuda will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she touched. Her creativity, passion, and love will forever serve as a reminder of the beautiful legacy she leaves behind. May her soul find eternal peace, and may her cherished memories bring comfort to the hearts of her surviving family and friends.
