His passing at the age of 65 leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who knew him.

George was a man of steadfast character—loving, caring, and sometimes stubborn, but always with an unforgettable sense of humor that brightened the lives of everyone around him. One of the most treasured memories shared by his family reflects the light in George’s eyes whenever he was surrounded by his grandchildren. “I loved how my father’s eyes would light up whenever he was with his grandchildren,” a loved one remarked. He truly cherished family gatherings, especially BBQs filled with joy, lively dancing, and singing along to his favorite Tejano music. George is survived by his children, April (Randy) Acosta and George Vasquez, and his beloved grandchildren, Alexis (Nicholas) Tyson, Julian (Nikki) Acosta, and Celeste Vasquez. He also leaves behind many loving brothers/sisters; Diana V. Perez, Odette V. Perkins, Enrique Vasquez, Rodolfo Vasquez, Javier Vasquez, Esther V. Guerrero Vasquez, sisters, Nora V. Garcia, Yvonne V. Nunez, Michael Vasquez, nieces, and nephews who will carry forward his legacy of love and kindness.

He was preceded in death by his father, Enrique Vasquez; mother, Delia Vasquez; and brother, Oscar Vasquez, ensuring that George now rests among his loved ones in eternal peace.
