George Miranda

July 14, 1943 — March 12, 2024

Kyle, Texas

In Loving Memory of George Miranda, A Cherished Father and Beloved Grandfather. As he always would we want to start off with one of his favorite riddles: what do you get when you cross an elephant and a rhino? Elephino.

With heavy hearts and a plethora of wonderful memories, we bid farewell to the one and only George Miranda known to those who love him as Pampy, a loving father, devoted friend, and cherished grandfather. He peacefully departed this world at the age of 80, surrounded by his family on Tuesday March 12th, 2024.

Born on July 14th, 1943 in Manatí Puerto Rico, to Alfredo Miranda and Virginia Bosqué. He lived a life marked by kindness, wisdom, unwavering love and spontaneous jokes. Throughout his 80 years, he touched the lives of all who knew him with his gentle demeanor, generous spirit, and profound wisdom. George was a pillar of strength for his family, offering guidance, support, endless love and plethora of knowledge. His devotion to his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren knew no bounds, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In addition to being a loving father, George was also a devoted grandfather who delighted in spending time with his grandchildren, imparting on them all his wisdom, life’s stories and telling random jokes to gain a laugh. His playful spirit and warm laughter brought joy to all those that knew him and will continue to live on in the hearts of his family.

George had a passion for life and found solace in working with his hands, particularly in his front yard (if you know, you know) shopping at the “mall” treasure hunting, fixing all things (cars, mowers, gadgets, TVs, Knick knacks). He enjoyed working on cars, chatting about politics and current events, giving you wisdom about all the religions he’s studied, and finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

George is survived by his daughter, Sonia Cruz and son-in-law Richard Cruz, their children Albert Zapata, Gilbert Cruz, Crystal Montalvo, Desiree Flores and Angelica Cruz. His daughter Virginia Moore & son Blake Moore, His son George Miranda Jr. and his many great grandchildren, who will carry his memory in their hearts always. Although he may no longer be with us in body, his spirit will live on in the lives of those he touched, forever guiding and inspiring us.

A celebration of George’s life will be held on Thursday, March 21st at All Faith Funeral Services in North Austin from 4-7pm. As we mourn the loss of George, let us also celebrate the profound impact he had on our lives and the impact he has left behind. May his soul rest in eternal peace, knowing that he was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.

We part you with his favorite riddle: How do you hide an elephant in a cherry tree? You paint their toenails red. Have you ever seen an elephant in a cherry tree? See how good it works.

Rest in Heaven Pampy, George Miranda, you will Forever be in Our Hearts. It’s not goodbye, it’s we will see you later.
