Freddie Ray Maxwell

Freddie Ray Maxwell Sr. 70, of Austin, Texas, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 22, 2026. He was born on October 12, 1955 to Beatrice Maxwell in Austin Texas. He was preceded in death by his (mother) Beatrice Maxwell, (sisters) Susan Ann Maxwell, Nancy Pearl Kinchion, (son) Freddie Ray Maxwell Jr.

Freddie attended Sidney Lanier High School, where he played on the basketball team. Upon graduation from high school, Freddie served proudly in the United States Army.

He was an avid sports fan with a special passion for football. The San Francisco 49ers was his favorite team.

Freddie was a true family man, who enjoyed crowded tables, delicious food, and spending quality time with the people he loved most.

Left to cherish his memories are: his (wife) Beverly Haywood Maxwell, (two daughters) Camisha Rochoynne Maxwell, Chelsea Matthews-Hughes (Jamie), (four sisters) Dorothy Nell Hardaway, Caroline Ann Jackson (Lee), Cherry Louise Easley (Donald), Donna Rena Mercer, (two brothers) Patrick Gerald Maxwell (Carolyn), James Milton Maxwell; grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
