Eleazar “Alex” Hinojosa, Jr., age 71, passed on October 13, 2024 in Austin, Texas. Alex was born in San Antonio and grew up in Austin, Texas. During his childhood Alex enjoyed swimming, roller skating, reading, and learning. He also enjoyed old western movies, television comedies, and a wide variety of music. His favorite song was Frank Sinatra’s “My Way” and his favorite football team was the Philadelphia Eagles. He enjoyed walking in local parks and exploring nature.
For several years, Alex drove the “Orange and White” shuttle busses on the University of Texas campus. He was a quiet individual and a caring son throughout his life.
Alex is survived by his son Brian; his brothers,Edward, Bob, Fernando, and Mario; and his sisters, Irene Hinojosa and Maria Harp. He is preceded by his parents, Eleazar “Alex”, Sr. and his mother, Janie; his brothers, Lee and Israel; and his sisters, Carmen Morin and Clara Hinojosa.
Family and friends will privately celebrate Alex’s life. His memorial service will be provided by All Faith Funeral & Cremation Services, 8507 North Interstate 35 Frontage Road, Austin, Texas 78753.
