Edmund “Eddie” Lee Villarreal, age 57, passed away peacefully on Wednesday June 12th, 2024, and went to be with our Lord. Edmund was born on July 11, 1966, in Victoria, Texas to his mother Mary F. Villarreal and father Andrew Villarreal (deceased).
He was a simple man whose passions included fishing, cooking, football, cars, and family. You could always find him fishing at his leisure or working on his 1986 El Camino. He had lots of love for the family pets over the years. He also adored his three grand dogs and loved joy riding with his furry friend “L” aka Popa. His heart-warming smile and contagious laugh will be missed by many.
Edmund is survived by his twin daughters Chelsea and Lindsey Villarreal, youngest daughter Carlie, his mother Mary F. Villarreal, brother Rudy Villarreal (Tiffany), sister Vanessa Rogers (Kyle), and many nephews, nieces, and friends.
He is preceded by his father and personal hero Andrew Villarreal, as well as his maternal and paternal grandparents he loved dearly.
Funeral services will be held at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, 1520 N. Railroad Avenue in Pflugerville, TX on Friday July 26, 2024. Rosary will begin at 9:30am, then the Funeral mass will start at 10am. A memorial celebration will follow mass and take place at the St. Elizabeth of Hungary Religious Education Center.
Another Funeral service will be held in his hometown of Victoria, Texas on Saturday July 27, 2024 at 9:30am, in the Holy Family Catholic Church, located at 704 Mallette Drive. The cremation burial will follow at 11am in the Memory Gardens Cemetery, located at 8819 US-87. We will have a final memorial celebration at the VFW after the burial, located at 2001 Lova Drive.
