David Terrazas, age 73 of Austin, Texas, fell asleep in death on November 1, 2025. Born June 1, 1952, David was a beloved son of Edward and Angelina Terrazas of East Austin and father to Albert Terrazas. He carried a warm spirit, a quick smile, and a steadfast devotion to family, friends, and community. David was the 13th of 16 children in the Terrazas family--a proud East Austin family known for their deep roots, faith, and closeness. Growing up in such a loving household shaped David’s kind heart and his lifelong ability to make everyone feel like family.
An avid athlete, David played football and softball in school and later went on to play college football and semi-professional football with the Austin Texans. As an adult, he continued to share his love for sports through the Pan Am Community Center, where he played softball and at times would referee games, giving back to the East community the things that he enjoyed.
David worked alongside his brothers at Image Printing, a family - owned business, where he built lasting relationships and enjoyed a long, successful career in sales. Later, he moved to Port Arthur, Texas, where his entrepreneurial spirit flourished as he founded his own company, David the Roofer.
David built not only a business but also a good life filled with laughter, friends, and the loyal companionship of his dear three dogs, Zeus, Lily, and Buster. David is survived by his son, Albert Terrazas, and by his loving family of brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and countless friends who will remember his gentle humor, generosity, and big heart.
David’s memory is forever woven into the fabric of East Austin and into the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
