Dan Carr

Dan Joe Carr was born on March 6, 1951, the son of Norris Carr, Sr. and Artrie Mae Washington Carr, in Austin, Texas. He attended school in the Austin Independent School District and graduated from A. S. Johnston High School.
Dan worked many years in construction and as a cook. And he stayed true to his "Hungry Hill" roots.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and one brother, Curtis.
He leaves to cherish his memory one son, Terry Carr and daughter-in-law, Ronnetta Carr; three grandchildren: Jalen, Aysha and Kyra Carr; four brothers: Leon Carr (Kathy), Norris Carr, Jr. (Claudette), Billy Ray Carr (Mae) and Bobby Carr; one sister/cousin, Myrtle Jackson (Ray); and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
