Kevon, Courtney Dian (age 43), formerly of Davidsville, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 15, 2025, and went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Born October 1, 1981, to David and Joyce Kevon, Courtney was a 2000 graduate of Conemaugh Township Area High School. Over the years, she made homes in Hamburg, Germany; Pittsburgh, PA; and most recently, Austin, TX.
Courtney dedicated her life to children, both in her family and in her work. She found her calling in education and childcare, serving as a teacher’s assistant at a classical school in Austin, working with children with special needs, and caring for countless little ones in several childcare and daycare centers. Her kindness, patience, and joy made her a beloved presence in every classroom and in the lives of the families she served.
She especially cherished her role as an aunt. Courtney’s greatest happiness came from spending time with her nieces and nephews — Ashton, Madelyn, Jackson (Turney), Jesse Jr, Charlie, and Trudy (Kevon) — who adored her playful spirit, warm heart, and steady encouragement. Her family and friends will forever remember her love of traveling, her generous nature, and her ability to make others feel seen and cared for.
Courtney is survived by her parents, David and Joyce Kevon of Davidsville, PA; her grandmother, Carol Bellay of Johnstown, PA; her sister and brother-in-law, Daniel and Carissa (Kevon) Turney of Mars, PA; her brother and sister-in-law, Jesse and Julia Kevon of Austin, TX; along with her beloved nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations in Courtney’s memory to The Rise School of Austin, an organization that reflects her lifelong dedication to nurturing children.
A private service will be held for family and close friends, with Pastor Ray Streets Jr. officiating."
