He was born to Rosie Loving and Nolen Johnson and grew up alongside his siblings Michael Johnson, Ernestine Loving, Patrick Johnson, Robert Johnson, Carol Robinson, and Theresa James. Together they created an unbreakable bond filled with love and support for one another. Clifton's stepfather Ernest Loving played an essential role in shaping his life as well.
