Claudio Guardiola, age 73, of Austin, Texas was called home to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, February 21, 2026.

Claudio was born on June 22nd, 1952 in Reedsville, TX to parents Eloy and Consuelo Guardiola.

Claudio or Clyde as we called him was a devoted son, brother, uncle and friend. His kindness lighthearted humor, good nature and witty banter brighten up the lives of all who were fortunate to have known him. He spent his days marching to the beat of his own drum building authentic connection and appreciating the simple things in life. He had a love for music and had an impressive collection of albums and 45’s which he had collected since his teenage years. He also loved Marvel comic books and also had a huge collection of them. He had an amazing knowledge of what he loved his music, his comic books and sports and just random knowledge of anything and everything. He always liked to make up trivia games of those subjects. If you ever had a conversation with him you would always learn something new because he would always ask you did you know or do you know questions. He was a fun-loving good guy. He will truly be missed.

He was proceeded in death by his beloved parents Eloy and Consuelo Guardiola and sisters Janie Vasquez, Nancy Guardiola Lopez, Gloria Nava, and Pauline Guardiola and brothers Domingo Ponce Jr, Lionel Guardiola and nephew Maximo Perez Jr.

Claudio is survived by Angie DeLuna (Pete), Alfred Guardiola (Belle), Oscar Guardiola (Mary Louise), Lenora Martinez (Michael) and beloved cousins, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at All Faiths Funeral Home, 8507 N IH 35 frontage Rd on Friday, March 27, 2026, at 4pm- 7pm

Burial service will be held at Assumption Cemetery 3650 S IH 35 frontage Rd in Austin on Saturday March 28, 2026. Date is still pending due to waiting on certificate of cremation for burial. Will update if needed.
