North Austin Location

A native of Franklinville, Christopher Brant was called home by his Heavenly Father on 20 Jan 2022. He was born in Aug 1962 in Olean NY. to Robert and Dorothy Brant (who have both preceded him in death).

Chris shared fond memories of growing up with his friends Sam, Todd, Steve, Brett and a host

of others. They shared a passion for cars, guns, hunting, and fishing. During his youth, Chris liked spending time at the Conservation Club and Camp JYC.

Chris had natural abilities, and could make and repair almost anything. He was also great at drawing, cooking, and woodworking. A lover of nature, he enjoyed most outdoor activities and connected well with animals.

Chris enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1987 as a machinist. He was then assigned to Bergstrom AFB, Austin, TX. He gave his life to Christ and became a member of Christ Memorial Baptist Church where he met his future bride, Bonita.

Doctors diagnosed Chris with an aggressive form of cancer in Aug 2022. He passed away five months later. He is survived by his loving wife, five children, and siblings, Debbie Parmele and Arthur Brant. There are also a host of family, friends and a church congregation who love and will miss him dearly.

Chris will be laid to rest in Round Rock Cemetery, TX on Feb 12. His memorial service will take place at High Pointe Baptist Church in Austin, TX at 1400 CST on Mar 12. All are welcome to attend the service in-person or to participate virtually. Details on how to access the virtual service will be posted on Chris’ Facebook page.
