Cheryl Leigh Nissen

Cheryl Leigh Nissen of Somerville, TX, formerly of Austin, TX, passed from this earth on June 27th, 2023. She was born in Marshall, TX, January 31st, 1959. She joined the Air Force after high school, and after serving her enlistment, she went to work for and eventually retired from the IRS. She is survived by her daughter, Christina, and two grandchildren. She is also survived by her two brothers and a sister, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Anna.

A memorial gathering will take place July 14th at All Faiths North Funeral Services in Austin, TX at 11am, followed by the burial at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, TX at 2:15pm.
