Charles Albert Franklin, was the first born of nine children born to Eunice Franklin and Lee Martin Lemuel, his stepfather, on September 28, 1946.

He grew up in Church at an early age. He attended Methodist churches in Bastrop County.

Charles attended and graduated with honors from Emile High School in Bastrop, Texas. He received a scholarship to Paul Quinn University, and he did 2 years of college before being drafted to the United States Marines. He did an active-duty tour in Vietnam for 4 years in the C-Company.

During his first leave from the Marines, he married his college sweetheart, Ms. Evelyn Young, and no children came from this union.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and one sister, Emma Scott.

He leaves to cherish his memory 4 sisters, Louise Lemuel of Austin, Texas, Rosie Mae Lemuel, Georgia Lee Jones of Bastrop County, Texas, Coorine Felton of Del Valle, Texas; 3 brothers, Michael Lemuel of Austin, Texas, Lee Arthur Lemuel of Austin, Texas and Walter L. Franklin. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephew and other relatives and friends.

The family acknowledges with grateful appreciation of all acts of condolence during our time of bereavement. Your many kind deeds, expressions of love and concern have been comforting. We especially thank you for the many prayers offered for our comfort. May God continue to bless each of you.
