Billy Ray Brown

January 29, 1943

On June 3rd 2012, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, gathered him in his arms and took him home. Billy is married to Gloria Vega Brown, preceded in death by his brother Bobby James Brown. He is survived by his sisters, Helen Anglestein and Shirley Perry, his sons and their wives, Bill and Michelle Derrick, Ronald and Diana Serrano, Estevan and Maria Mindieta, Emilio Mindieta and Angela Harper, seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and best friend Don Gilbert. He proudly served his country in the Army Reserves, was a City of Austin employee, and retired from Travis County Parks Department. Billy was a very gentle man who was loved by all who knew him. Memorial and lunch will be held at Dolores Catholic Church Family Center, for those who wish to pay their respects. Saturday, June 9, from 1 through 3 pm, located at 1111 Montopolis Drive
