Barbara Ann Jackson, Born February 7th, 1955 was welcomed home at 70 years old on September 11th, 2025. Barabara started her life journey in California, then to New Orleans, La where she lived most of her life, finally to Austin, Tx which was made her permanent residence after hurricane Katrina. Barabra was a football fan "GEAUX SAINTS" but would question her loyalty when Patrick Maholmes came across her TV screen. A ice cold coke was always near with her favorite meals (a good burger, or homecooked BBQ ribs, cabbage and cornbread). A pint of sherbet ice cream would often keep her company at night while she sat in her robe invested in lifetime movies rubbing her feet together in fuzzy socks. She wasn't perfect in this life, but she was a force, a sassy little woman who was a known firecracker, but also a woman whose smile and eyes had such a story behind them. A friend who called just because it was a Sunday, A mom who would call just because she needed to hear your voice, a grandmother who would call just because her gut told her something was off, and a great-grandma who would call just because she needed tiny voices to put a smile on her face. Barbara is survived by 3 adult children, Miesha Edwards, Sheldon Jackson, and Darnell Jackson. Each of her kids went on to have beautiful kids and great grandkids. She will be missed by her family, friends and those whom loved her dearly. She may be gone in flesh but her memories will forever be with us. We love you. Rest easy Miss Jackson.
