Going Home In Loving Memory of Alfredia M. Miller

Alfredia M. Miller was born on June 1, 1931 in Cedar Creek Texas to Roberta and Dock Aldridge (Her parents preceded her in death).

Alfredia accepted Christ as her personal savior at an early age.

She joined Herman Miller in matrimony (who proceeded her in death). To this union five children were born and two were adopted. Dan C. Aldridge (deceased), Linda F. Lawrence, Gwendolyn Titus, JoAnn Langham, Herman D. Miller, Vanessa K. Brown and Percy R.H. Miller (deceased). Her surviving siblings are Lenora Crayton and Hazel Robinson.

Alfredia retired from the State of Texas Health and Human Services Department and continued to be involved in the welfare of the community; well into her eighties. She also worked closely with the City of Austin Neighborhood Housing and Community Development Office on guidelines and applications for neighborhood support funds. She was Secretary of the people’s forum for “Charlie Sector” in East Austin. This community group was meeting monthly with a Lieutenant from the Austin Police Department to voice their concerns on problems in the community.

She was called to rest October 21, 2017.

She leaves to cherish her memory a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
