Steven Weaver

March 6, 1980 — April 20, 2018

North Austin Location

Steven was a handsome, funny, sweet young man, Loved puns, practical jokes, and making things. He had a beautiful smile that could light up a room. He was outgoing and easily made friends.

A man of many talents. His artistic and mechanical abilities appeared early in childhood. This started with drawings that would frustrate him because his parents could not duplicate the images followed by taking things apart and slowly getting them back together again, later these skills would lead to many drawings, metal sculptures from junk, playing the piano and guitar by ear, quilt design and sewing machine repair. He was a talented mechanic involved with autos, motorcycles, golf carts, and built a few unique transportation options.

And he loved to use these creative talents. He helped his Mother design and sew his first “big-kid” quilt and helped repair her treadle machines. Also helped his brother bring his own creations to life. He shared his knowledge of metal cutting and shaping, as well as his use of unusual materials to help create sets of armor. He also was eager to add his ideas when asked and helped enhance photo shoots with props and settings.

He loved making friends and spent many hours with them around the campfire.

He is survived by his father John, mother Sharon, brother Alex, brother-in-law Geoff, girlfriend Laura, and many cousins, uncles and aunts.
