Sergio Rangel

Sergio Rangel, age 39 passed on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 in Austin, Texas. He was born July 29, 1979 in Lubbock, Texas to Yolanda Rangel.

He was funny and caring and would give anyone his last dollar. He loved listening to music and talking with friends and family every chance he got. He was preceeded in death by his mother Yolanda Rangel, Aunts Theresa Rangel and Beatrice Rangel, uncle Mario Rangel, Grandparents Anastacia and Juan Rangel. He is survived by aunts Dolores Rangel, Margaret Hernandez, Mary Hernandez and one uncle John Rangel, 11 cousins and 18 2nd cousins. He will be missed dearly by all whom love him. Here is a little poem to share.

Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free.
I’m following the path God laid for me.
I took His hand when I heard His call,
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day.
To laugh, to love, to work, to play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way,
I’ve found that peace at the end of the day.
If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Ah, yes these things too I will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow,
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life’s been full, I savored much,
Good friend good time, a loved one’s touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all to brief,
Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief.
