Connie Concepcion Ballenger

Connie (Concepcion) Ballenger, 77, of Round Rock, Texas passed away peacefully on November 6, 2017 with her two daughters at her side after a courageous battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

She was born on September 11, 1940 to Antonio Alcantar and Refugio (Orozco) Strange in El Paso, Texas. She was a housewife and stay at home mom until she returned to school at the age of 40. She attended Odessa College and received her Associates Degree in Applied Science and became a registered nurse. She retired in 2008 after 25 years of service. Her passions were gardening and traveling. She was heavily involved in the lives of her grandchildren; she never missed their plays, recitals and other important life events.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis Chapis of Round Rock, TX; two daughters - Diana-Lynn Inderhees of Morgan Hill, CA and Arlene Ballenger of Austin, TX; three sisters - Bertha Lahart of Odessa, TX, Irene Holthaus of Aurora, CO, Rita Coulson of Brownwood, TX, one brother,William Strange of Odessa, TX; two granddaughters - Rebecca Inderhees of Austin, TX and Rachel Inderhees of Detroit, MI.

She took great pride in her children and grandchildren. She will be missed dearly and remembered in the hearts of many.

Her Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 10:30am at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 1101 W. New Hope Dr., Cedar Park, Texas 78613. A meal will be provided by the church immediately after. The Rite of Committal will begin at 2:00pm at Our Lady of the Rosary Cemetery and Prayer Gardens, 330 Berry Lane, Georgetown, Texas 78626.
