Clarence Trahan

Clarence J. Trahan, 90, of Buda, Texas, passed from this life peacefully at home on Tuesday afternoon, May 7th, 2019. He was born on October 9th, 1928 to Jean Delphi and Cevelia Romero Trahan in Iberia parish, Louisiana. He is survived by his children. Sons; Michael W. Trahan, and wife, Betti of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Paul G. Trahan of Manchaca, Texas, and his youngest sister, Velma of New Iberia, Louisiana and many nieces and nephews. He was so proud of his grandchildren, Cayla Rochelle Trahan of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Michael Bruce Trahan of Willis, Texas and Jessica Lynn Trahan of Round Rock, Texas. He was preceded in death by his first wife of many years, Eunice Marie Trahan, two brothers, and three sisters.

He enlisted into the Army Air Corps in 1947 at age 19 and served in Hawaii. Later he enlisted into the United States Air Force where he served Proudly and Honorably for more than 25 years.

After retirement from the United States Air Force in 1973, he attended Austin City College earning a degree in Heating and Air Conditioning. After graduating, he was employed at the Texas School for the Deaf in Austin, Texas until retirement in 1992.

In 2008, he married Garnet Hedges Tilden, and they shared their life together till his death.

His Joy and Passion was creating and building! He built several lovely pieces of furniture for his Buda Home and also for his grandchildren and step-grandchildren! His unique talent made each piece a labor of love and Craftsmanship. Clarence loved his home and took loving care of it. His last months were spent looking out the window at the backyard which he so enjoyed! He will be missed by his wife, his family and his friends!

Funeral Services will take place at All Faiths Funeral Services at 8507 N. IH-35, Austin, TX 78753 at 12:00 p.m, Visitation at 11:00 a.m. before service and burial to follow at Cook-Walden Capital Parks, Memorial Hill, 14501 Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78753.
